Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - NHM-91 / Romanian RPK barrel?

Got a question - the NHM-91 has a 20" barrel, and an RPK has a 24" barrel, yes?

I've got a flyer here selling Romanian RPK barrels for $39.95, and while "fair quality bores" aren't sounding very appealing, I started thinking, and was curious if this barrel could be mated to my NHM-91.

Is the Romanian RPK barrel even 24" ??

the rpk bbl. is 23.23" in length...and those romys are junk, suitable for use in pmds bullet hoses.

What could I use to get my NHM-91 closer to true RPK specs?

I remember reading that the receiver was not a true RPK-style receiver, but it seemed the biggest thing was the barrel length.

I like the NHM-91 just fine, but thought it would be cool to get the proper length barrel in there...

real rpk bbls. are hard to come by right now. the blaster grade romy's are about all that's available.

maybe you should think about making a barrel exstension.
