Yeah that's not that bad, they gotta make a living and you get to see the AK before the purchase. It should have come with a cleaning kit in a metal thing shaped kind of like a deodorant stick. I'd tell you what's in it, but I stuck mine in the stock as soon as I got it home and 6k+ rounds later it's still stuck up in there!

Just bought mine a couple days ago for $369, so that seems to be a pretty decent/normal price @ a FFL.

  Now you gotta save up for number 2. I have 4 AK's Two Mak90's and two SAR 1's SAR 1's I got for $275 and $300. All personal sales. Gotta get an under folder next. And get the Red Star adjustable trigger. You won't be sorry. |

Yea, that really isn't bad.
At least you got your 40 rounder with it. A lot of dealers in this area strip them off and sell them separate-Or, say "If you buy today, I'll throw in a 40 round mag" |

depending on your location that's really not far out of line at all. A local dealer here in Cols has the Romanian SAR1's for $359 (plus tax) and includes a 30 rd. mag instead of your 40 rounder. I may just have to check into one!!

Don't think I've shot any of my 40 rounders more than once. They get in the way of my left arm. You can buy 30 round Bulgarian steel mags all day long at the funshows for $10.00, that's the way to go.....Have fun with your new purchase. Now you need a SAR 2, and a SAR 3, and a.............

I got my 40-rounder with mine and I would have happily traded it for a 30-rounder. It's not an RPK, and the thing looks stupid and out of proportion.
Now you go and stick one in a RPK and you've got something... |
