it is entirely possible that jerry gordon's company either built a clone model or, more likely, a contract duplicate run for ron at arsenalusa.

the original ssr-99 was constructed out of 100% new bulgarian parts and was one of the finest ak's produced in this country.

i have heard varying stories on the quality of the 99p, which was built using a bulgarian milled receiver and polish parts that ranged from nearly new to...well, some folks had to send theirs back due to shot out throats...pitted bores...worn rifling.

most gun parts can be refinished to look like new. a worn bore is impossible to disguise.

check out the pipe carefully. if it checks good, you have found a nice rifle.

a 'good' price would be under 5 bones. most of the time i see them priced at $500-600. for that money, you are in the price region of a brand new arsenalinc sa-m7.
