I would like to start a little SBR project, i was thinking about doing it with my AR-15 as parts are readily available... but then i realized why not my AK, so question is where is a good source to guy a shorter ak-47 barrel or kit, and will it bolt right up like a short "commando" ar15/m16 upper will to my 16" ar?

if one uses the screw together assembly method, it is possible to have a rifle that will interchange front ends.

k-var sells the aks-74u krinkov kits that have the 8-1/2" barrels.
