I was thinking of adding one to my SAR-2. There are some good prices for the 4x24 and 6x24 but, I know nothing about them.

At 100yds, you can see about 40' wide with the 4x and 25' with the 6x. If you chose the 6x, get the 6x42 for more light gathering and a much larger exit pupil so there is more than just a tiny magic spot where your eye lines up to see thru the higherx scope. Each is commie military tough, and has a slightly yellow haze to the view.
For twice the money and weight, the 'elcan' 3.5x has great clear glass and a great 60' field of view at 100 yds.
