Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - No serial # on the receiver???

Bought a Preban Norinco 84S, I looked it closely, there is no serial number on the receiver. elsewhere, top cover, bolt, bolt carrier all has match number 21XX.
The`receiver only has
5.56X45mm
MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO
on left side the receiver.
Is this normal?

Check the trunion. The serial number should be marked there.
