Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How do you get the rear sight off?

Doesn't seem to want to budge.  Also on a side note, how many of you have the windage adjustable rear sight and if not how many of you had to make windage adjustments to the front sight post?  Thanks again.

use a rag padded screwdriver tip to depress the leaf spring. press down at the ftont after flipping the sight leaf up to near vertical. wiggle the leaf out of its' pivot slot by lowering one side dow into the wider portion of the pivot slot.

i have made windage adjustments to most of my ak's.
