Just got an RPK this weekend; Firing Line milled receiver, assembled by SIA.  It was used, but in great shape.  I can't wait to get this thing to BF and try her out.

Got a question for all you AK/RPK experts - is there anything I can do to prevent the bipod legs from scratching the barel when they're folded up, or is that something I just have to live with?

That is a very nice looking set-up. I really like the light colored wood on the black rifles. Some day I might actually get around to getting some for my SLR-95. But then again, some day I would like to have a rifle the one in the picture. Nice purchase.

My latest kick has been C&R guns. I recently got my license and can't quit buying up the cheap stuff. This one showed up on my doorstep the other day and will be with me at Bulletfest.

use that plastic dip stuff fer putting that rubber type grip on plyers and other tools. not tacky looking on a nice rifle, works good, and can be take'n off pretty easy with out harming yer finish on the bipod feet.

they sell at hardware stores or wally world i would think

I feel better now knowing I'm not the only one that bought a rifle just in time for Bulletfest.

I got my first AK, a SAR2, hopefully I get my mags in before Friday.  I'm looking forward to bumping next to that sweet RPK.

Hey Scooby, if your mags don't come in, feel free to stop by and borrow some of mine.  I also picked up fifteen 40rd mags to go with it.

We can have fun blowing holes in one of Campy's minivans.  Maybe not as much fun as shooting up the ol' Mystery Machine, but what the hell...

Lumpy,

Where did you get the .45?  Price?  If you don't mind my asking.

I thought I heard that mags over 30rds were a no-no for semi auto in Ohio. Any truth to this? I need to find out so I can decide whether to bring any drums.

Thanks Gus, sounds like a plan. I might try and buy some if any vendors have em for sale though.
