Any idea where I can get a US made AK74 brake that will fit standard LH metric threads on an FAL?  I would like a brake made to the same specs as the original (i.e. Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian).  In other words, I want one that really works the way it's supposed to.

Thanks.

On an "FAL"??  Is that correct?

I have no idea. I am only replying to say hi. Haven't seen you around for awhile!

Well, thanks!  I'm mostly hanging out over in the hometown forum (GA) these days...and in the FAL forum some.  I am considering another AK, though.

Cris at AK-USA usually has them. (If it's for an AK). Here is the link......

My AK-103.com sourced brake on my SAR1 is very good, works like it should (Campy saw and liked), and comes in 7.62. Not chrome lined, comes bare metal, uses a muzzle adaptor nut that you should be able to modify to suit your FAL needs.

I believe the 74 brakes are 22mm, or there about. The one I got needed an adapter from 14mm to 22mm. I dont think it would be a big deal for a smith or a machinist to make the adapter up for you if you cant find one. Look on Global Trades site for what it looks like and you'll see what I mean.
