what caliber's are countries using?

Some are using big ones, while others are using little ones.

Ask a veague question...

All contries still producing AK type rifles, to my knowledge, have switched to a sub-30 round, 5.45 for the most part, at least for military service (Ishmash in Russia being one notable difference with their Saiga and Veper series rifles). I think the Czech republic is currently issuing 5.56mm AKs due to their new NATO standing. Poland may be as well.

China is the other notable difference adopting a new 4.8mm round in their QBZ bullpup and carbine, neither of which are realy Kalashnakovs anymore....
