where did you get the propane tanks?
I want some of the big ones (empty) to shoot at but can't find anyplace to get them except paying 44 bucks a piece for them which would be stupid |

propane refill stations will probably give away the old (out of date, incorrect valve) tanks.
two board members hooked me up with over 50 tanks...35 from a propane dealer (still more to pickup from him) and several folks are giving me the one, two or three that they had for their outdoor gas appliances. hit up the area propane dealers. you are doing them a favor by hauling away their trash. |

thanks to three board members, we now have another car, 4 more propane tanks, a dryer and a refridgerator!
gotta mow some mo' this afternoon...then off to scavange more targets! |

Most propane dealers know to purge the tanks after removing the old valves. If you decide to target your own, consider the gauge of the shrapnel, fill it with water/dump repeat a few times, then let it sit upside down (propane is heavier than air) for about a week.
Even if you have the right amount of distance and cover, a full 20lb tank leaves a hole a full yard deep in Ohio soil and attracts unwanted attention. |
