Anybody know more about these? www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/New_Magazines_.html
The pic says 7.62x39 yet appears to be a 5.45 mag? Sent 'em an e-mail.... |
Yeah, probably won't hear anything 'til Monday since I e-mailed 'em late. The only books I have that show synthetic Polish mags are on 5.45 and 5.56 rifles...
If they're anything like the image, they should resemble Russian mags. Might have to order 10 |
...I don't think they look plum, more like the Norinco bakes...imho
.....hehehehehe...just like the Flying Kalashnikovski Bros! |
The polish AK-100 style grips I had were better than the Bulgarian ones. I am tempted to order the mags, but will wait till I see some, the price should drop by then too. |
Blah. They're bound to fail. |
...doctor, I would like to get a second opinion on that please.. |
Just like a Pollak! Makes mags for an ak-47 and they work in a 74.
Let's see here:
1. Inflatable dart boards 2. Solar powered flashlights 3. "One shot" pistols with backwards facing barrels the list goes on and on Don't even get me started on Italians |
They gotta be 7.62 * 39 - Just different from Bulgarian.. . I don't think Aim would screwed up on it. It has the longer look ... |
Could be a substitute pic, but they sure do look like a 5.45, with the slight curvature and all.
I wonder if the pic is correct and the ad copy is wrong -- the steel Polish mags are 7,62 and the poly Polish mags are (actually) 5,45 but were incorrectly listed as 7,62? Looks like I'll be calling Middletown tomorrow. Noah |
must buy more mags!!!! hopefully there 7.62 I already have way to many 5.45 mags of various origin and a 7.62 polish bakelite/synthetic would be nice!!
i'm really interested. I think i'd still prefer the bulg waffles over these but I am wondering if these really are 7.62x39 mags. The only slab/flat sided mags I have seen like that are the Bulg 5.45 magazines, I have about 10 of them. They come in brown and black.
someone get the word on these! |
Yes the Polish did make 7.62 black plastic mags. They should have 7.62x39 on the left side and the the mold number will be 1 or 2. These mags are slab side like Russian 103 mags and have been expensive to get from collectors. Should be cool if they have them. And yes, the pic is of a 5.45 mag. Either Aims pic guy screwed up or we are getting black plastic Tantal (5.45) mags.

I just got off the phone with Erik.
They are black slab sided plastic mags (they have a slight purple hue to them), very sturdy. OK...now...here is the PSA You better get on the horn and buy some of these or you will be kicking yourself later! end of PSA |
wow maybe they are more like a plum color and will match my russian plum color better
call made for two!
They said they don't have them in today but should get them in a day or two. |
I heard they are more like the Russian mags and are definately 7.62x39.
I also heard that the pic on AIM's sight is a 5.45 bulgie mag but the 7.62 Polish are very similar construction and will look much more like an AK-103 mag. I am buying 10!!!! woohoo they have a purple tint to them I guess too??/ |
Well, are they black or are they plum-packing purple pride? Someone let us know as soon as they get one in their hands.
E-mail I got from AIM was that they are 7.62x39 mags (Russian 5.45 mag used for the pic).
If they're in stock wednsday, I should have at least 2 and a better description. So far, so good. Doubt we'll ever see any poly 7.62 mag for less than $10 per, $15 ain't bad sight unseen. |
That "in stock by wednesday" always scares the crap out of me. I never trust anything to come out of customs on time.
talked with steve and they are past customs and on the road to AIM,I ordered 10,what can I say Im a sucker for price breaks
Dammit!! I thought I bought all of those! Should be a hit at the 'fest though! |
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, looks about right to me! |
Yes they are 7.62x39mm. It is cast on the side. They look black with a possible blue tint but more black. They come wrapped five in a nice wrap. You CAN'T go wrong with these. They came from the same supplier as the PM-63 post samples I have in bond.
Troy Sellars IN RANGE C2 |
so do they kick ass or what Troy?
Think they are better than the Bulgie waffles? |
I talked to them this morning at 10:30 they said they were in stock . I got 20 i should have them by Wednesday evening ? We will see . |
Hold on! You magaholics are gonna make these $14.95 mags as a scarce as the original soviets at the rate you're buying them! Seriously!
I bought them ALL this morning. Wait until you see the price "I" will be selling them for.
Muha! |
I couldn't take it anymore and I order the 50 mag package.
I can't wait to see dealers buy these and then jack the price to 22.00 a piece or something. ok..... I wish. But I grabbed 10 while I still can. |
Alrighty, I was saving my pennies until the ammoman got some more of the English AR mags in stock, but I couldn't take it anymore and put my order in for 10.
Rotdorn - I'm basing this off your PSA - hopefully there won't be any self-kicking involved later on. |
supposedly they have a two, maybe 3 months supply
I laugh at that!!!!! Maybe 2-3 weeks I bet they sold 1/2 in the past 4 days or whatever |
There will be no self-kicking allowed here! *AIM updated the pic... |
That's right. Instead, we'll let you have a whack at RotDorn if you don't like those magazines.
received my mags today, Very nice looking light and look very well made.
What is AIM's number, for some reason their site isn't working for me.
www.aimsurplus.com - site seems to be working for me. But their number is: 888-748-5252 |

Yes ! |
Well, mine shipped today, could only afford 4 of them. Hope I like 'em.
I need to stop buying mags for guns I do not own. Price of 50 mags would have bought me a nice ak.
