Are HP`s harder on an AK compared to FMJ`s?Thanks

 The bullet materials are the same as the FMJ.
Copper in copper jacketed, bi-metal (coated mild steel) in bi-metal.
 As long as the Hollow Points feed properly in your rifle you should be just fine.

Ditto.  Unless you bump fire every round, your barrel will last longer than you.
