Ok, I am finally starting to get my head above water...and had the chance to look.

The front site pin size is 7mm x.75 pitch. I got my tap/die and pitch guage out and measured it. Now, here in lies the bitch...that is an odd size...very odd. I am thinking of retapping a drum taken out of an old site post,and then making a jig to set the front site base. Only bitch will be pressing that drum in and out.

Any of you tool whores out there got this bastard size tap and die you would loan out?

if you have it I just need a 7mm x.75 die. I have a 7mm x1.0 die but it is way to coarse.

I wonder if this would work?
Reverse the concept. Get a piece of sq stock, and drill and tape the underside, so that it threads onto the front site post (7mm x.75 tap) that way you wouldn't have to remove the front site pin. PIA

I don't see why it wouldn't, other than you would have to ensure the hole is drilled perfectly on axis with the sq stock. By using a rod and threading it, the process is simplified, IMO. I just threaded a 3/16 steel rod and tried this on a FAL. It works like a charm, except I need a slightly thicker rod. 3/16 is just barely thick enough for a 12-28 die to thread. It wiggled a little, but verified the concept. This should be a good way to line up the FS assy for those that are replacing the neutered Romy ones with the KVAR threaded one or just want to straighten out a crooked sight.

PS-My second bulgy kit is at UPS. I got this one from KVAR.
