I have an Intrac II Romanian AK-74 style rifle with Rom. trigger group and FPK style t-hole stock.

I would like to modify it in the following ways:

1. Install Red Star Arms USA trigger group.
2. Install KVAR USA Bulgarian style stock set.
3. Remove Rom. neutured front sight and replace with Rom. military threaded front sight block.
4. Install Romanian threaded muzzle brake on front sight threads.  Pin brake permanently in place.

I've heard that because the Romanian front sight unit is an odd thread size that will not accept any device other than a muzzle brake, and the threads are not actually on the muzzle I can leave the brake not permanently attached??  True or false?
