From what I have learned it works like this.
Buy a Hexxe, and you will be sorry. YMMV

hesse alters the saiga (russian receiver and parts altered to pistol grip configuration) rifles. most buyers seem pleased with them.

the rifles that hesse builds up on their own receivers generally receive poor reviews.

the hesse stamped akm receiver is actually nice. i have built rifles up on them without the trouble i've run into on the itm/oow receiver. the problems seem to be centered on the assembly quality (or lack thereof) of hesse products.

if you have the means, spending a little more on another brand is what i recommend.

I didn't get a kit, but I bought some of their chocolate mags (mmmmmmm yummy...chocolate).

The mags were new, and rare just as described, JKF is becoming a player in the AK market.
