Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tell me what the little punch mark means on the front sight?

Any experts out there that know what the little line that looks to be put there by a chisel on the front sight round pin that moves side actually means? I would figure it would be to mark a sighted in rifles location .Sorry for all the questions but really trying to  figure these rifles out.Just something I noticed.  :) Thanks War Dawg

it's a center mark, put there to help you see which direction and how far you are moving the windage drum as you adjust it.
