This thing has been sitting in the back of the safe partly completed, finally got tired of looking at the thing. Ordered a Butt stock and pistol grip from K-Var (Dam did they deliver fast!!!!). I decided to work on it this morning. Got Mr. Dremel out and went to work. Cut the hole for the threaded block for the pistol grip, worked on the old trigger gaurd....and this is how it came out....

Not to bad so far....only have just under $250 into it, including the rifle....

Next step, make my feed ramp and install it....

and...a much better rifle than the sar! nice work!

I am going to do a write-up on everything that was done and how to do it. I will use my experience and info I have gotten from other posts from other people who have done this. should be posting it soon.

sunday I will be getting the materials for doing a feed ramp....then will probably just use some heavy duty spray paint on the bottom of the receiver. not worried about winning a beauty pagent with this. This is my cheap Russian abuser....eventually I will blast it and park it, but not at this point in time. I did this cause I have a mint condition norinco NHM that I have put alot  of $$$ into, and dont want to abuse it. This is someting I can literally throw in the truck bed, us it as a baseball bat....etcetcetc....never clean it....you get the picture. and will only have about $250 into the whole thing....and less then 1 days worth of work in it also.
