I have a K-Var wood stocked AK-74 kit on the way. I keep telling myself that it was my own idea with the encouragement of my buddy clubleaf206, but I think we all know who REALLY made me do it.........
 So, is OOW producing the best receivers for finishing these kits or is there a better one out there? Thanks! |

the only alternative i'm aware of are global's feg receivers. these were originally intended for use on a hungarian .223 rifle that was a stillborn design.
the oow rec's work fine, but lack some 'appearance' features of the commie design. you might call jimmy streetman at global and see if he has any of those rec's left. i belive they were $159...but i could be way off base on that price. |

i've heard some 'import' rumors and i've heard some build rumors for months!!! i want an rpk-74 and perhaps another ak-74. gotta run...i'm taking the '74 out to the range this morning. |

no not Santa Claus, but on a side note I always pictured Santa Carrying Concealed, all those gifts and him being an older man it just makes sense.
, As for the tease, I didn't really mean to start brewing speculation and walk away, I just can't specify what the project is until my NDA expires at the end of December. That is about the same time the rifle should be available for sale. The only thing I can say is- Start saving, put it in safe place and just wait a few months. This thing is going to be a fast selling item.......... JerrY |
