Anyone have any pointers/experience to welding it up? Had a few stovepipes the last time i shot it and since im debaning it figured i might straighten up the edge. Its a bit rounded and it "may" be the source of those odd stove pipes.

That'll work; TIG welded the ejector hook on a B-West I had that'd peened badly and then filed and stoned it to the correct shape by referencing my Type 56S.
I forget what the metal was, but it was some leftovers from a machine shop that used it to weld Fly Knives for industrial machines.
