I had a non threaded one with a .500 muzzle.

I had a AR barrel threading guide,
but no need to thread AR barrels.
I polished it a touch to get it into a 5.45 vs 5.56 muzzle.

I threaded it to 1/2 x 28 so I can use a YHM muzzle brake or flash hider QD device on it.

I also wanted to know if there is a decent,
USA made AK74 looking brake in that thread/pitch.

Even with good barrels,
surplus 5.45 keyholes once in a while and I am rethinking wanting to use it with a Phantom QD.

It is a good Romanian CL barrel,
and I have not had WPA or black/red box keyhole out of it,
but if I put half a dozen mags of surplus through it I am bound to find a keyhole or two on target.
I had forgotten about that.

There are AK-74 lookalike brakes in 1/2x28 but they don't work like the originals. CNC warrior also makes thread adapters, so you could put a 1/2x28 to 24mm adapter on and use the original brakes.
