I would prefer companies new to the Ak game innovate. Those afraid of heat, a pair of firm grip gloves is $15 at home depot.

I don't have to do that with an AR and the right design would negate that with an AK too. Oh yeah, I see the front sight now. I was at a weird angle to my LCD and it blended it with the background.
I stand by my "turd" assessment. I've carried AKs. I had a tabuk in Iraq and an egyptian in AFG because all I rated at those times was a Beretta. It's better than a pistol but it's not worth all of the custom work and boutique accessories because no matter how good the smith or how much money you dump on it you cannot adequately overcome the basic design flaws. The best AK mods I have ever seen were the Larue MRD mounts and the oversize mag catches. Beyond that it's reminiscent of those guys that drop $1000+ to get 1MOA out of their Mini-14 Get an AK, add a rear sight MRD mount and call it a day. |
