well it's a bulgarian AK74 i know that, guess it dosn't have a CLB going off what you guys said, i know the shop owner wouldnt intentionally miss lead me, me must not have known, i'm gonna shoot it tomorrow, hopefully it shoots as good as it looks, doesn't have a canted FS or any of that other crap,h
Yes, the kit is Bulgarian, matched to a U.S. receiver and U.S. barrel. And if it shoots fine and you don't mind the idea of grossly overpaying for it, enjoy it. Just be sure that if you use corrosive (surplus) ammo, you clean it well when done. This should include the barrel, gas tube, bolt face, etc. While a non-chromed barrel won't melt away from firing corrosive ammo, it
does become more important to clean it promptly and thoroughly after shooting.
You may also want to tell your dealer, just for his own edification, that this gun has neither chrome lining or a military barrel. As a seller of guns, he really should know such things.
Also, I wouldn't be mad at the dealer for making an honest mistake when describing the gun. But I
would be mad at him for charging $550 for a gun that can be easily bought for $350! For what they are (plinking and recreational shooters), these guns represent a decent value at $350. But above $400, you're overpaying. At $550, you should have at least gotten a reach-around when you picked it up.
If you haven't shot it yet, you might entertain the idea of returning it. You could always tell him it doesn't have a CLB like he said, and you really wanted a CLB. You don't have to let him know that the real reason you're returning it, is because you paid $200 too much for it.
