Looking at options for my Lancaster Bulgarian AK-74.  Will a East German AK "virgin" barrel being sold at Apex  (https://www.apexgunparts.com/product_info.php/products_id/1388) fit the Bulgy rifle?

Thanks,
Rob

There is alot of work involved in putting that barrel in your AK74.

This THREAD has a virgin bulgy 7.62x39 barrel that would give you an idea of what it takes.

E German 5.45x39 barrel is approximately .007" larger in diameter at the trunnion.
Gas port hole is not drilled, extractor relief and lower handguard slot is not machined.
All other measurements are identical to Bulgarian 5.45x39 barrel.

the one I got is a slip fit at the gas block, and a little big for the trunnion.

Thanks for the info.  Maybe one of the Bulgarian AK-74 barrels from Copes would be better...
