I bought a like new Vector AK from a friend for $500. The reciever and varous parts have numbers but none seem to match. He said the gun runs perfect and does not have any problems and only has 500 rounds through it. The reciever says model ERTD and Elk River. Anyone know much about this Vector? I bought it because I hear Vector is quality stuff. Thanks for any input!!!

When parts kits started to dry up, Vector mixed various parts with great results.  They started using non-chromelined barrels as well before they quit building.  I have owned 2 Vectors and can't complain at all.  A Vector like most AKs you buy require a better finish, but they are GTG.

I remember paying $550 for my first Vector about 2 years ago.  Great buy and you broke the cardinal rule too!!!!

PIX please
