Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - blank firing adaptor

I have a couple blank firing devices that screw on the end of the AK barrel in place of the muzzle brake.

I also have some military surplus blanks.

can anyone tell me why my AK is not cycling with the blank firing device attached?

blanks may be old and not producing enough gas, or the hole in the end of the BFD is not working properly? Kinda hard to tell w/o seeing it in action or being there, but those would be my 1st guesses.
