31-61 no question. After getting my 105 it has since become my favorite black rifle. I would choose it over any AR. It is accurate, reliable and ammo is cheap and has excellent ballistics. And for $799 that has to be the best rifle for the money deal going right now. I would trade my 105 for that. Am I missing something or is that the same one that was just over a 1K not long ago?

I'd take 5.45 over 7.62x39 any day of the week, it's a flat shooting accurate round that makes an AK a great medium range performer.
5.45 Range Report If corrosive milsurp isn't your thing then stick to the SGL20 but otherwise I say SGL31 full speed ahead. I only shoot corrosive through my rifles and have had zero problems in 4+ years and a total of about 5K rounds over 3 rifles including my own SGL31. It's cheap and reliable ammo. Z |

I like shooting 74's much much better than 47's. They just shoot better and have a lot less recoil.

I don't have any experience with 5.45 but would very much like to own one in the near future. I've even thought about selling my SLR 107F to get the SGL 31 or at least something in 5.45.
In case the zombies attack though I would go with 7.62x39 just because I think it would work better in a forested area like I live. If I lived out in an open part of the country then 5.45 would be my SHTF rifle. |

When I finally picked up my Tantal it felt like an AK-47 had sex with an AR and the AK dominated the gene pool except the recoil was like an AR, 5.45 is awesome, but do 7.62 so the rest of us can have the 5.45 ammo
