I have 2 of these guns, and bought 2 more at the gun show this past weekend. J&G Sales had them at a fair price, so I grabbed another couple. It has been my experience personally that the 4 I have are very solid, well built rifles. Nothing "rattles", and all magazines fit nice and solidly without any slop. All run well out of the box. I prefer them to the WASR 10's because they come with a removable slant brake, and a bayonet lug standard. Many WASR 10's don't. I know the ones J&G was selling right next to the GP-75's didn't. I prefer the all black furniture also. I know they don't have chromed lined bores, but that isn't an issue with me because I don't run my guns that hot, or shoot corrosive ammo in them.

How many of you own and shoot the Century GP-1975, and what has been your experience with them, both good and bad?   Bill T.

I had one and sold it to fund a Bulgarian ak74.

The receiver cover rattled, and the action was rough, but reliable and accurate to the 100 yards I shoot within. It was a great rifle for the price and I kinda miss it already.

I've been checkin them out, I was'nt all that inpressed with what I saw. They just don't seem to be built all that great, however, I'm sure they won't be available forever.

What is a fair price to pay for one?

The ones I saw at a GS were. $699

That's what I paid for both of mine at the show last weekend. Now all I need are some nice clean, new bayonets and scabbards for all of them. I'm holding out for some really nice ones. Not something that looks like it was buried under an apartment in Budapest for 50 years!     Bill T.

I sold a bunch cheap here before I moved out of AZ.  They had everything with them and the scabbards and frogs were like new.  Try CenterfireSystems

The ones on J&G Sales sight actually do look like they were buried.  Ones I had from Centerfire last year were like new as far as a Romanian one goes.

I have a couple that look new. I don't remember where I got them.
I don't think appearance was high on the Romanians priority list.
