4 pc. flash hider -Does any one out there know the distance of the hard chrome cone inside- to the barrel I would believe there is a slight gap for the chamber to function correctly? and does the gap matter, I know krinks thread on but does the cone (inside)touch or but up against the barrel ? Any info is great.

I have one of these from Noveske that was modified with an internal adapter for 1/2 x 28 threads for an AR.  I can probably get you some pictures by tomorrow.

I'm thinking it has to be there because the area behind the cone is for the gas to expand, but I'm not positive.

What are the chances that this will be a problem when shooting corrosive ammo?

Sorry for the delay.  I would say the cone sits about 3/8" away from the threaded portion of the hider.  Because mine has the 1/2x28 adapter welded in, I can't screw it onto a barrel to see.  I'm going to try drilling it out and refinishing it when I'm done.  I hope these will help. Let me know if you need a different angle.

I pulled my 4pc Bulgy FH apart and measured all the the internals and mine has exactly .125" of gap between the end of the cone and the face of the barrel on my Bulgy 7.62 krink.
