Well it's almost complete.  Just need to get my US 22mm 74 brake in (would love to have a 22mm com block FH but no one has the right cutters for the slots) and also need to get my barrel mount in along w/ tape switch to attach the 6P w/ the Q5 230 lumens drop in.  Tomorrow the RDPII optic should also be in.  I'll also be going w/ a Primary Weapon Systems mag release addon when the funds are there.

What I have done so far

Ace w/ internal block
Rigid PG
US Piston
Vickers 2 pt w/ HK hook in front
US lower poly HG (had to grind the hell out of it to get it to fit)
Ultimak w/ barrel shims
Romy 22mm FSB
Tapco G2
BJB Swift Safety Lever

I'm still debating whether or not to attach a PRI short rail to the bottom ala Edwin style and put a TD Black Stubby VFG on it.  We'll see once I get the light on and how I like it.

I also still have to drill the FSB holes to keep the FSB in place but as it is now that FSB isn't moving!  Had to press it on there w/ a BFG and that only took about.....forever!

Anyways...here's some pics w/ my Springer Mil-Spec which has a few custom parts also and will soon be sporting a Dawson rail, SF X200A, Safariland Holster for my belt rig (got rid of my Glock and now have no drop leg to fit my 2nd line), Kart Barrel, and front night site.

Kinda like putting ricer stickers on my car to give it 50 extra HP?

Thanks guys.

Well I've got a '69 Mustang that's getting a twin turbo setup modded for it.  What are you trying to say!?!?!

But that video is hilarious.

I did an install on a Saleen mustang once. This car was brand new in 2002 I think. Any way this douche had those cheap raised vinyl VTEC embelms ALL OVER this $50k car. I'll try and dig up my pics if you guys are interested.

But back on topic. I have the same lower HG if you do put some kind of rail on there post up some pics.

Are you talking about machining your own? I would imagine you might be able to use the corner of a bullnose end mill.

Nice rig! Is it an SAR-2?

I've talked to hotbarrel on Gunco and David Saylors (Saylors Machine...builds suppressors and the Phoenix flash hider) and neither have the correct tools for the slants.  I'll bring up your suggestion w/ David however.

If that's the case, a 90 degree slot would be too wide, those are probably somewhere between 30 and 60 degrees.

Will a Bulgarian FSB fit? That may be the way to go if you really like that FH.

Not that I know of.  It's a Romak II so it's a skinnier profiled barrel.

Pretty nice but the $450 pistol with $65 grips is getting in my way.

It won't be a $450 pistol by the time it's done.  Just like the Romak really isn't a $400 rifle anymore.

Anyways....UPDATE

Well guys...I got Vic's RDPII optic in from UPS when I got home from work not to long ago.

I mounted it on my Ultimak rail which I wasn't expecting it to cowitness....it doesn't. No big deal though as it's plenty low and easy enough to get off.

While the viewing window is not real large, I do not forsee it being a problem w/ quick target acquisition.

It seems solid and the only thing I'm really worried is about the heat generated from the Ultimak.

Pics will be along shortly but if this thing holds up I think it'll be a diamond in the rough as it's a price that should be what it is as opposed to the more expensive mini optics of this design.

Pics will be along shortly but I won't have any natural daylight pics until Sunday as I've got a grad class this weekend.

I've wondered that too...but what mount would work?

It's not lacking by much.

Honestly....to get this thing to co-witness I think it's about 2mm-5mm too high.  I'll do some more precise measurements tomorrow.  I think one could get or make a mount that would lower it some and allow you to still use the irons.

What's so special about that sight?  Is it better than the other Dr. Optic clones?  Price?

Well it costs about $150 and has been being used by quite a few real world users and has been proving itself so far.  Also Victor has done extensive testing w/ it and I trust his words.

Here's his link.
