Apples and oranges.

Tantal = 5.45, sidefolder

AKMS = 7.62, underfolder.

 Yeah, that's like comparing a Chevy V6 to a Chevy V8. You gotta decide what round you like, before you decide on a rifle. If you buy from Atlantic, be sure to ask for a forum discount.

The tantal kits are much easier to get these days than the 7.62 kits, maybe cause nobody wants to get stuck with the tantal once the surplus ammo runs out.
