Just bought a SAR-2 and I'm looking to add a red-dot sight to it for sub 100yd shooting. For now I'd like to stick with the Russian side mount optics. I've owned Kobras and weren't too crazy about them. I see the PK-AS and PK-AV at Freedom Optics. Anyone have 1st hand experience with these sights? I'll be using it at carbine classes and possibly 3-gun matches.

TIA

I really like the PK-AS. Can be used with either left or right eye, doesn't need batteries for daytime use, irons instantly available for backup, circle/dot reticle is great for both fast close-up work & distance shots, receiver cover can be removed for cleaning/maintenance w/o removing the PK-AS.

I'm thinking of the model just like Tomac's. I happen to be left eye dominant and right handed so it just might work out better for me.
