I know this is a long shot, but is there anyone here in the US that can work on Combloc stuff like the Kobra?  I was going through my old gun stuff and found one.  It's an AA battery version marked "Made in Russia - Holsters USA".  It's missing several of the mount parts, one of the adjustment caps, the battery compartment cap doesn't like to stay on, and it isn't very bright at all.  However, I clamped it on my AK74 and it worked fine, just was quite dim.  I don't remember where or when I got this, but they seem to go for quite a bit of money these days, I'd love to get it back to 100%, it makes a great "correct type" optic my my 74.  Thanks for any help.

I can't help you with the issue of who could repair it, but it sounds like you have the first version Kobra. -There is a modified version out now, which is most likely what you are seeing for sale. -A common problem with the origionals is that they were to dim to be used in full daylight. That is not a problem with the new vesion. So even if you get it fixed up, unless they were to swap out some guts you will most likely have the same problem.
