Be advised, if you are not an LT Team Member yet, there is still a little time left to sign-up before the Pre-Labor Day weekend release of our long-awaited LaRue LT-AK Optic project. Team LaRue Sign-Up Page (My apologies for the wait - the war has taken priority over more than a few of our new projects.) |
Geez I almost bought something this week. Glad I saw this.
You do mean Labor Weekend 2008? |
i'll believe it when i see it. how many times have we heard "it's coming, i swear"?
and that's pretty messed up that the only people that are going to get it are team larue members. |
1.) You never heard me say "I swear." 2.) The LT Team Members (costs nothing) will get the opening night email, that free membership does have it's privileges. 3.) Uh, well, there is no three. |
he doesn't mean arfkom team members, he means you signed up for the e-mail list from LaRue Tactical. |
Aimless, you are correct ... but you do have to have a paying ARFcom membership to get in on the Sept. 1st "Until Hell Freezes Over" Stealth Giveaway ... which goes out the door this time replete with UDE furniture. |
Sorry
edit Wait I was right, er I think I'll go bar b que something. Nice work on the ude furniture by the way |
clicks "refresh" on his inbox over and over and over and over and ove...... |
I hope it's not the idea I've had bouncing around in my head for the past year or so. Oh well your idea is probably better anyway.
Not so hasty there, Rat Shot. |
send out the email tonight??? |
Naw, it was in one of those other locked LT-AK threads ... It just so happens that I've been known to watch a little Star Trek ... matter of fact, I've got different Legions of Borg up my a$$ quite a lot lately ... |

He does not design with Pentium, he will not be approximated. Less lead time than the Shrike, before peace in the mideast, and he really means it |
Damn it Jim, I'm an ocular ... not a lioness. |
with the new UDE furniture? Nice! |
Dang,
Hmmm, tossed out my new AK mount, some like it ... some took a big ol' .... on the whole idea. Anyhow, didn't know AK'ers were such tough crowd. |
I don't think it's the crowd, but the AK-platform ... that is tough to mount optics universally across all the AKs out there. |
I like the optic Larue is putting out. But like anything its a V1 and the AK crowd wants rugged and reliable V2. Picky bastards!!
The "AK Crowd" likes things that can withstand the harshest treatment and environments on earth.
I hope this product holds up well. There is no doubt that the reviews will be honest and direct. |

I really doubt I could have bought my firearms and accessories from the Dominican Republic, Haiti or Cuba.
That AK47 is from Henderson Defense Industries and the Law Enforcement Bushmaster is getting a Larue rail which I am buying from Bravo Company.
Would I want this on my AK ? --- hell yeah. Will it take an extended attack by a hammer wielding AK hater ? --- doubt it. Can I carry my old rear sight with me (just in case the hammer-wielding AK hater does real damage) ? --- of course I can. Again, would I want this on my AK when the zombies pour over the wall ? --- hell yeah. ML |
I hope mine gets here soon. I ordered it about 15 minutes after I got the email |

Sure. Makes sense. Seems that when one puts a Red Dot Optic (RDO) on an AK, the most fragile piece of gear in the room is the RDO. What I like about this LaRue configuration is (1) It moves the RDO back away from the handguard area and its heat. (2) If your RDO does go down, you can use your irons through the RDO's window. (3) This setup works on pretty much any AK, side-rail-eqipped or not. This setup may not be everyone's ideal (as some want to run a T1 or whatever) but I think it's a clever, affordable design. |
The T-1 version is drawn and ready, perhaps we ought to toss it up on the website and see just how many folks really would throw a $700 bill on top their AK ??? ML |

Good point. |
Oh, and the cheek-weld is good-to-go. |
i like the new product.Too bad i will miss out on this Stealth thing (not a paying member).
Who're you calling "YOU PEOPLE?? |
what do YOU mean "you people" |
"You People" as in you people reading this. Not "those other people", the ones not reading this. |
I just checked the mailbox again, still not there, what's up with that?
Well okay then, I'm signed up! I sure hate it for YOU PEOPLE who aren't! |
T1's are nice but I like BDC on my 5.56 AK. If you had a solid, quality, over-the-reciever mount that allowed people options to mount whatever they wanted THEN you would have the hot item everyone would just have to have. THERE'S your challenge, now quit F'ing around with these little things and get on it! |
you people |
I like it. It's not what I have been thinking about, but I like it.
