I was wondering is the 40 rounders could be loaded up to 40 rounds. I've tried 40 round AR mags that could only load 20, and was wondering if AKs were the same way. Also, I've seen 50 round magazines. Are they capable of being loaded with 50 rounds? Thanks for any info.

Ever mag that I own loads to spec.Hell I have some Sig 228 after market mags that say 13 on the bag and I can load 15 in them. I have the waffle 40 rounders and I love them.

Watch out for hi cap magazines that are made in the USA. All AK magazines made in the USA are crap. Romanian 40 rounders are the most common right now, they go for $15-20 a piece. I think you are looking at ammunitionstore.com, they have a bunch of USA made magazines for AK's.

I have some from the 80's that take 40. In fact, mine has never jammed...ever.

I got a 40 round Bulgy waffle mag and I have no problems with it... They look real bad ass!

i got some romanian 40 rounders(dont ask me how) and load them up with 40 rounds without problems, now thats alot of lead.....

I've got a Chinese 40 rounder, it's been working perfectly for me for 11 years.
