Are the Romanian 75rd drums reliable? Or are they good as "range mags" only?

I have never had a failure with one in any of my AK's.  They are great for bench shooting too as you don't have to reload much and they don't hang down so far.

No prob with mine.  The price of them seem to be coming down a little too.  Can't remember where I saw one for like $60 shipped.

They are a copy of the Russian drum so how can you go wrong?

So, are they better than the Norinco drums?  I know they are harder to load.....

If you can get one new, I would say yes. Buying used can be a pig in apoke IMHO. SOP in field use is to not leave them loaded for more than a few days. Ones I seen that have had problems is the ones loaded and left for extended periods of time. That is why Chinese drums are sought out as they can be loaded but spring tension left off untill needed.
