Thinking of picking up a VEPR-K carbine or an AK-74 clone in 5.56mm. What are some good 5.56 mags to use in them?

The modified AK74 mags with the new Robinson follower are made for the .223 vepr.   Robarm.com sells them for $25 a pop last I looked.

I have a SAR 3. by far the best mags are the german mfg steel mags. the converted AK 74 mags w/ followers work, but dont compare. These are steel mags. I normally dont give plugs but Interordnance has them. SAR3 mag set.

The only remaining question is will they work in your rifle.

Am also considering a VEPR (limited to 5.56x45 or 5.45x39 here in the PR of CT due to dumb AW law). Would probably go 5.56 so ammo is interchangeable with my AR15.

Have heard the Bulgarian 5.56 mags "usually work" (per RobArms), and now the Polish.

Any sources for both? Have found Bulgarian mags at K-VAR, but no sources for the Polish.

I love my Bulgy mags! Go with the ones K-Var's got. A tiny bit steep in price - but great mags.

It will depend some on the gun, as the round cares about feed angle even in an AK. E Ger steel Weigers and Bulgy waffles are on the short list.

Are you referring to the German .223s listed by AIM?

The German steel mags listed at Aim are wiegers. Interordnance has them cheaper. I ordered a set last week. They are new and awsome. They even delivered them on a Saturday Never had that happen before.
