they pop up every now and again on the secondary market (bakelite mags)......I bought a soviet RPK-74 mag for 90 bucks on the AKFILES. just keep your eyes peeled. at the last gun show, (berea) there was plenty of steel 7.62 40 round mags sold by ammunition store, ..........like for 15 bucks or so. just do a check on a search engine for 40 round AK mags, they are easy to come by

I'm looking for a 5.45 40 or 45 rounder not the 7.62 right now.  Anyone know where to get those?
