Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How do I open and clean the Romanian 75 drum?

Folks, I just got one of John's excellent Romanian 75 round drums, and was wondering how I might go about cleaning out the oil in it?  I have tried turning the knurled nut with the flat thing in the middle, and was able to remove the knurled nut by pushing down on the flat thing with a screw driver, but it didn't open up.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks so much in advance for your help, and thanks so much John for excellent service!
