Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - A few of my magazines don't fit. Anyway to fix that?

I bought a WASR, newer production, because I had an earlier rifle and sold it for the hopes of buying an Arsenal but ended up buying a WASR again.

Anyway, I have about 20 magazines and four give me issues. I insert it but the flapper doesn't engage. I can slap it out of the rifle.

Is there any fix to this or should I mark them as non use?

File the tang on the mag.

Look at it carefully and file where it hits/drags.  I have filed in the wrong place before (on the ramped part instead of the fat part on the spine of the mag that was really dragging).  Slow filing with fit checks often is the best way to go so you don't overdo it.
