just getting into the AK world, and am looking at buying some mags. is there any type that i want to stay away from due to bad quality or unreliability? thanks, adam

Promags, must be fitted and are not as durable.  They are the only 3US part 5.45 mags that i know of though.  ALL of the rest are GTG

When it comes to AK mags be it 47 or 74, stay away from anything made in the USA.   Promags, Tapco, Thermold, etc... Although i've read some ok things about the Tapco mags I woulodn't buy one of those unless it was a last resort.
