I saw alot of 762x39 and 223 wolf at the maac show this weekend. 119 a case for the 223 and 139 to 125 a case for 762x39, lots of surplus 223 also. i also saw barnual and some lesser brands competively priced in the 762x39.  hope this is the end of the shortage...h.gif

It is always amazing how a few people can generate a "shortage" and then a big price increase.

Thats great news

Unless there were two shows in harrisburg, it's funny how people see things differently when it comes to 7.62X39...........

From an Falfiles post:

"South African .308 was plentiful at the Harrisburg, PA show today, 1260 rd tubs to be had for $199.99 by several vendors. Not a bad price at all. 7.62 x 39 was visibly absent, but just about everything else was there in abundance from .223 thru .50 BMG."

The Harrisburg show today and tomorrow was a Davis Promotions show that was bought out by MAAC. The original MAAC Harrisburg gunshow is still on for May 6-7.

Yeah, there was ample 7.62x39 to go around, cases of it were stacked at the ends of a few tables.
No one seemed interested in the stuff though. Wasn't there a guy over on the left side selling 1000 round Wolf cases for $160? He said it's the best value of any seller at the show. I finally gave the friendly Ammunition Store guy some business taking away some cases of Brown Bear for $129 per 1000.

There were a few assorted AK parts kits around, but I wish someone had the adventure to sell $12.99 receiver flats instead of the 39,000 old hunting rifles racked everywhere.

Otherwise it was a good mix of militaria and hunting gear.

I agree, plenty of 7.62x39 from multipule vendors for the most part competativly priced.  I could do with out the 3900000 bolt action hunting rifles as well, there were some parts kits but for the most part they looked pretty picked over, what was left was either dark bore kits or signifigantly over priced kits.  I hoping that the may MAAC show brings some more diversity in the AK dept there.  Everyone had the black rifle's but AK's were scares so it seems to me but there were a couple really nice looking WSAR-2's!  I just wish my bank card handn't decieded to act up today, really screwed things up for me.  Anyways I digress...
Cheers Josh

Just got back from Harrisburg this afternoon. I walked in around 10am looking for ammo. Found more 7.62x39 than I expected, (thought they would be picked clean.)  Saw a good amount of Yugo and Hungarian ,only a few boxes of Wolf. I picked up 500 of Yugo on stripper clips for $75. Seems all calibers of ammo have gone up in price. I found one vendor with SA 7.62 nato, bought last 10 packs.
