Well it depends where in Michigan you live. I live in southwest Michigan and there is a place here where I buy 7.62 Soviet blanks for about 10 cents a peice. I think it's 1.99 for a package of 20.

Let me know where you are and we might be able to arrange something.

Real 7.62x39mm granade launching blanks are in the $5+ each cartridge collector catagory.
Most of the cartridges I have seen on the net advertised as granade launching blanks are really East German made standard blanks not granade launching blanks. If someone tries to sell you granade launching blanks not in a box but loose a red flag should go up on that deal.
A 10rd blister pack of East German blanks is on the left in the pic.

The East German blanks are star crimped and will have a 04 or 05 over a 70's-80's date headstamp. The other blanks you will most likely run into are made by Barnaul. They have a star crimp come in 20rd boxes marked "7.62x39 blank cartridges" and have the Barnaul trademark over 7.62x39 headstamp.

Hehehe... I have 2 boxes of E. German 7.62x54mm 123gr. ammo with the same markings as your paper bundle... "20 pieces".

MCM,
Are they really "real" granade launching blanks?

Q-G2,
It is a box not a bundle. The 7.62x39mm box is smaller than the 7.62x54R box. Also the 7.62x39mm is marked "M43" and the 7.62x54R is marked "M39" while all the other markings are the same.
