Wolf 7.62x39 ? - AR15.COM

Is Wolf 7.62x39 underpowered when compared to other ammo such a Winchester? I know in the AR world Wolf is well know for not having as much velocity as other brands.

Their web sites have reasonably accurate comparison numbers.

PS- Since Wolf 5.56 is not a fragmenting round, the loss of 150fps or so is not a real problem for 10 cent ammo.

Actually I have an AK that likes to short stroke and since Wolf is all I have shot throught it I was thinking some other type of ammo might work better. If Wolf is the problem then hotter ammo might fix the prob.

Currently I'm thinking that the gas block doesn't line up properly with the gas hole in the barrel.

Hate to say it, but I'd fix the rifle, not the ammo
