I went through the entire ID link and others, need help Identifying some ammo.
I have about 400 rnds. got it a long time ago, no packaging
7.62x39
brass cased
red paint on primer
some weird  diamond shape and squigly line on head stamp
best I can do for a pic.

It looks more like  6V  or bV?

From what I can see in the pic and what I can remember from ctg collecting, this is middle east origin, either Egypt, Iraqi, or Syrian perhaps?  I don't have my reference books handy, but this puts you in the ballpark.  Probably corrosive, mildly at least, so if you have a large qty on hand and shoot any, be forewarned to clean after shooting.  Hope this helps..Tommy.

According to the U.S army referance guide it would be made in Egypt.

It is corrosive primed Egyptian ammo.
