Would corrosive really be that bad to shoot if you ALWAYS clean your rifle right after you shoot, or at least a day or two after?

Is there anything else good or bad about corrosive?

There's nothing "wrong" with shooting corrosive ammo, you just must clean your rifle immediately after shooting.  Just hose your rifle down with hot water, then clean normally.  No problems.MBR

Corrosive primers contain an extremely stable mix of chemicals.  A typical formulation, by weight, is  potassium chlorate (KClO3)--53%, lead thiocyanate--25%, antimony sulfide--17% and TNT or lead azide--5%.  Kept in a cool dry place the primers should last indefinitely.  The smokeless powder is what degrades at a measurable rate.

If it wasn't for the fact that you are left with a fine residue of corrosive potassium chloride (KCl) after each shot there would be no better choice than corrosive primers.

I would not wait 'a day or two' to clean your rifle.  In the right conditions even a few hrs is enough to allow a layer of rust to develop.
