I had thought about it. Seems that coyote is in year 'round season here now with no limits on caliber/mag size/etc per local Rangers. No, but the different pressure curve of the heavy ball exerts more oomph on the gas system, slamming the carrier extra hard.

A MN carbine with a scout mounted 2x pistol scope may be a better hunting tool. Takes heavy ball well, and wayyy easier to handle in heavy brush.... Also helps justify my 8mm Yugo rifles A good cheap gun with a great ammo selection.
