Iv'e shot alot of UMC 7.62x39 through my SKS. Never had a problem. In my opinion it's good, inexpensive, sure functioning, and widley available ammunition.

Go to www.cheaperthandirt.com and click on the Remington link under Ammunition. There you will find plenty of UMC ammo.

I Have shot the UMC 7.62x39 out of my WASR-10 AK-47. It's only plus is it is brass cased. Other than that from my experience it doesn't group any better than the cheap russian stuff. I Would recommend the S&B steel case it may be a little dirty but the groups make up for that. The only thing with the S&B is it very hard to find. If you find any of it please tell me where!

What diameter is UMC? .310 or .308? I think some american ammo is .308 while chinese/russian ammo (and the guns) are .310.

UMC as well as Federal, and Winchester are .308
