Ok, I have a Mac-90 and a Ruger mini-30

I have some Wolf 7.62 39 lead core steelcased
and some norinco red packs of 20
and some Spam can 7.62 x 30 (steel core?????????)
and some surplus russian (crate) 7.62 x 39 says hunting spec. ammo (steel core?)

I was told by the Ammo guy @ the GS that

You better be careful shooting that AK ammo out of your Mini-30............
because AK projectiles measure .311 dia. and the Mini-30 bore is speced out @ .308 I.D. - that means that you could have an overpressure failure.

He suggested to me that I pull a few projectiles from each of the different AK ammos that I have and mic. the O.D. to see if it will be safe to run in my Mini-30.

what experiences have you had? or has anyone heard of this? or heard of anyone who has experienced such a failure?

I need the advice of ARFCOM..........  Thanks guys -
