I got 1700 rounds of 7.62x39 for 140 bucks. The ammo was stored in a 20mm ammo can in
sealed plastic bags, 100 rounds per bag. But the ammo is mixed, mostly Golden Tiger HP, and alot of FMJ brown cased rounds with numbers on back, (EX. 71 top 90 bottom). Anyone know anything about this brown cased ammo? Chinese I think?

Anyone have a clue on the brown cases? Corrosive?

Chinese.  Some think it might be corrosive, other claim Factory '71' produced non-corrosive ammo.  Do a nail test to be sure.

71 = Factory
90 = Year of production

BTW I hate you.

Just kidding, nice score.

The rounds I have are either 89 or 90 production date. And they have a gold colored primer with red sealant. Hmmmmmm, corrosive???

Always treat it corrosive, more than likely Chinese lead core.
